Part 4: Listless Overgrowth

During initial lockdowns, while many Americans seemed more concerned about when their hair salon would reopen than the deadly virus at hand, I embraced not getting my hair cut or color done, wearing the overgrowth proudly. This mask was shaped using strands of my hair that were brushed out during my 2020 isolation. I molded the mask form using a heavy-duty hairspray and weaved in my natural hair to form the top piping.
